Well, things had been pretty quiet across the road. I'm guessing he doesn't do the drug thing full time. That's a good thing!
The police arrived this evening. Only 1 policeman with a middle aged sort of lady who I guessed right away was a mom looking for her daughter. He has a lot of youngish girls come to the house. He has a girlfriend who lives there so I thought that maybe they were her friends, but I don't really know.
The daughter was taken out of the apt. She didn't seem upset at all. I heard the policeman and the mom talking about probation so I'm guessing Silas is on probation for something or another. The mom and daughter promised the policeman that if they heard anything more (about what I don't know) they would let him know.
The policeman said he would write a report and the mom and daughter walked away and he got in his car and stayed there for a while (I guess writing a report). In the meantime a truck pulled up with (apparently) 2 more of Silas' friends. Another young girl and a guy. They talked to Silas through the window, throwing furtive glances at the police officer. I think the girl went through the window (she was pretty small) and the guy picked up stuff from the ground and put it in the girl's purse and then went in through the door.

Silas
I decided to name the guy who lives in the apartment across the road 'Silas'. It was kind of weird not having a name for him and since I likely can't ask him, I made one up.
Last night Silas was not home. He left around 8pm with about 10 of his friends and they all walked towards Kingscourt.
I hadn't seen the 10 friends arrive so obviouly my observation techniques are not high quality.

July 11
@2:40 Hey the world cup finale is beginning and we have a visitor. 2 guys and a girl arrived in a beige mid size car. One guy and the girl went in. The other guy was in a purple shirt with a blue hat and blue shorts and he spent time digging about in the trunk of the car and kicking at stuff with his feet. The other 2 were gone 5 minutes and came out with a yellow grocery bag. Maybe they were getting swim gear to go to the beach? Let's hope so. They don't seem to be soccer fans.
The Start
July 11
I think a neighbourhood drug dealer has moved in across the street
My cousin Tammy noted that I should keep a log of all the activity. At first I thought I would keep it in a notebook. But then I thought- why not keep a blog on it?
Of course, I can only log the times that I am around and notice something so it won't be complete.

@ 2:30pm 2 guys drove up in a car. The passenger got out. He looked barely 16. Very curly hair and a baby face. The driver had a thin face and may have been a few years older. The passenger returned a short minute later and they drove off
@ 3:30pm 2 girls walked up. One was on a cell phone. The girl on the cell phone had long ash blonde hair. The other girl had a short dark bob. They both wore sunglasses. They left the apartment a short minute later the cell phone girl in front, the bob girl walking a few feet behind her like they didn't know each other
@ 9pm a red car drove up and 3 females got out. One was older with a dark short cut and she talked a lot to the other 2. They were carrying big bags (maybe for sleeping). The other 2 seemed younger- one a teenager, one maybe 12-14? They left at 8am the morning of the 11th. There was another walk-up as they were arriving but it was now dark it was hard for me to see.
July 9 from here
Yesterday I came to the realization that the young lad who moved into the apartment in the house across the road is likely involved in drugs. He moved in a few weeks ago and I noticed there was some traffic but I thought -he's a young guy- he's just having some friends drop by. But after last night I think differently.
-one guy arrived at the house across the road with some type of cloth in his hand. He used this cloth to open the door. I guess so there are no fingerprints? He didn't knock (most of them don't)
-a police car drove down the street and shone a light in my eyes. I think they were probably looking for house numbers. I don't know if that was related.
-shortly after the police left another car (burgundy) showed up and a guy got out with a bag. The guy did not know where he was going and the outdoor light was off (maybe on purpose as he normally has it on) and he was wandering a bit. He spotted the stairs to the 'real' neighbours house (the landlord part) and almost went up but must have been on a cell phone with the apartment-guy as he abruptly turned away. (I was really hoping that he would make the landlord aware of what was going on!) Then he found his was in the dark to the back apartment. He knocked on the door. The car waiting for him drove around the block and then waited across the street instead of waiting outside the house.
